Every year, the Colorado Dermatologic Society schedules an outreach to recognize Skin Cancer Awareness and educate Coloradans on proper sun protection. This year, we reached thousands of visitors who had come to spend some time in the Botanic Garden. Volunteers including community members, University of Colorado dermatology residents, and local dermatologists gathered to educate visitors on the importance of sun protection and the proper use of sunscreen. We're hopeful our outreach will convince the people we met to enjoy our beautiful state in a sun-smart way.
